Welcome to UKgate.com
UKgate.com is an E-Learning, video sharing platform designed specifically for English language learners. UKgate’s E-Learning platform enables the delivery of thousands of high quality English language video lectures, by simultaneous streaming and download.
As a teacher, you will find this system a simple, effective and very interesting way of sharing your knowledge and expertise in teaching English as a foreign language to a large number of learners based all over the world. And what’s more, it will also provide you with a convenient way of earning an income as a freelance teacher. Little IT and Computing knowledge is required as UKgate will provide you with full Online training in using our system to deliver what you do best.
By registering yourself as a teacher on UKgate.com, and planning, recording and uploading video courses, a whole new way of working opens up to you and puts you in touch with a broader student base.
So what do you have to do to become part of this exciting new E-learning platform?
We at UKgate are looking for native speakers of English who have a recognised teaching qualification and at least 2 years experience in designing and delivering courses to overseas students. If this sounds like you, then we invite you to register on UKgate.com.
- After you register you will be able to upload your CV and covering letter which will be considered by our educational directors.
When CVs have been approved, your account will be upgraded to teacher status where you will have access to wider content including up-to-date information regarding the site, found in the Teachers' Room.
And you will also be able to plan, and upload your courses to your teacher's area.
-
Next comes the planning of your courses. We ask teachers to think about an area of English that they are experienced in, and particularly enjoy teaching, and plan a course around that.
There is more information on course planning for UKgate in the audio seminar entitled 'Planning Your Course'. Under the section entitled 'To Apply', click 'Make a course plan' and you will find the seminar there.
When you have thought of a course you wish to teach we would ask you to provide a course overview and lesson-by-lesson plan, outlining what students can expect to learn and how each lesson is to be staged.
The production of a detailed course plan prior to recording shows a commitment on behalf of the teacher and initiates our commitment to marketing and promoting your courses to your target audience.
-
Once we have received your course plans, we invite you to sign contracts with UKgate and we will then provide further information on the remuneration package.
You will then be ready to record your courses. We will send you a link to another seminar explaining how to record these lessons and how to further use the website at that time.
Thank you very much for your interest in teaching your courses on UKgate.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
