Three female criminals escaped from a prison.  One had dark hair, one had red hair and the third had blonde hair. They ran away across the country side for several hours and finally decided that they needed somewhere to hide.  Luckily, they came across a farm building, so they decided to hide in there.  They went in and found an upstairs hay loft so they went up and found three sacks (bags).  They thought they heard voices outside so they quickly jumped into the sacks to hide.

Just then, the local police chief and his deputy came into the building and started looking around.  The chief said to his deputy, 'I'll look down here and you go upstairs and look up there.'

A few minutes later the chief asked his deputy, 'Can you see anything?'

'Nothing,' cried the deputy, 'there's only three sacks (bags).'

'Well, what's in them?' asked the chief.  So the deputy went over to the first sack (the one whith the dark haired criminal)and kicked it.  A noise came from the sack, 'woof, wook, woof.'  The deputy told the chief, 'It's ok, one of the sacks has a few puppy dogs in it.'

The chief said, 'What about the other sacks?'

The deputy went over to the second sack (the one with the red haired criminal), kicked it and heard the sound, 'Meeaaooww.'

'The second sack has some kittens in it.' said the deputy.

'What about the third sack?' asked the chief.

So, the deputy went over to the third sack (with the blonde inside) and kicked it.  There was no sound.  He kicked it again and there was still no sound.  So, he kicked it harder and suddenly he heard a noise from the sack saying, 'Potatoes.'
